One Tambon One Product

Accomplishment in 2003
1) Data for every Tambon in Thailand have been posted.
2) Number of goods in ThaiTambon = 30,363 items or
an increase of 9,513 items
(45.6%) over that of year 2002.
3) E-commerce products increased from 1,750 items to
2,948 items (an increase of 70.5%).
4) Data and information for 50 districts, 162 sub-districts in
Bangkok area and products from 500 occupation groups
increased to 1,586 items (Chiang Mai has 2,428 items).
5) Data for 5 Stars OTOP Product Champion of about
580 items have already been posted.
6) Data for 4 and 3 Stars OTOP Products of about 1,000
items have been posted. The remaining 5,000 items are
in the process of adding into ThaiTambon.
7) In 2003, ThaiTambon.com prepared data of products
from 10 OTOP Fairs and substantially increased the
data of OTOP Products.
8) Field trips were made to various provinces to prepare
data and pictures of products such as Ratchaburi,
Samut Songkhram, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Chon Buri, Lamphun
and Chiang Mai.
9) Linking from ThaiTambon.com to each individual homepage
of SME for exports increased to 2,580 companies.
10) ThaiTambon new products
promotional pages have been
very successful and increased the amount of sales.

Work Plan and Progress (2001-2002)
Detailed work plan has been made and monitored continuously.
By the end of 2001 there were information for about 2,100
Tambon. The local products amounted to about 7,000 items,
of which about 250 were the products from "One Tambon One
Product Project", and at least 3,000 tourist spots were accumulated
in this web site.
Substantial progress has been made in the year 2002 which can
be summarized as follows :

have been posted in ThaiTambon.com
which represents 98 percent of total tambon in Thailand and
the rest will be posted by the end of December 2002. |

ThaiTambon = 20,850 items. |

Number of rural
occupation groups participating in the
E-commerce is 67, with about 1,750 items of goods. |

ThaiTambon.com has
already posted 461 OTOP
(One Tambon One Product) products as selected by
the government and consisted of about 2,162 items of goods. |

English translations for
E-commerce and OTOP products
are being carried out with the cooperation from the
Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce. |

ThaiTambon.com has
initiated the idea and developed
a system to put SME for exports data into ThaiTambon
data base with links to original homepages of each SME
in the 5 web sites under the supervision of the DEP. As
a result users can easily access to or search for vast
amount of data efficiently. At present this process is being
carried out. |
